Simple Remedy to Heal Cracked Heels Using Only Petroleum Jelly

Cracked heels arise from ill-fitting shoes, prolonged exposure to wetness or standing on hard surfaces, extreme dryness (forgetting to moisturize), and use of harsh chemicals. There are numerous other causes including obesity, genetics, diabetes, etc.

So here is how to heal cracked heels using only petroleum jelly:

  1. Deep your feet in lukewarm water for approximately 20 minutes
  2. Using a foot scrubber, rub the heel to eliminate any hard skin
  3. Pat your feet gently to dry them
  4. Apply a moisturizer to the heel
  5. Apply some petroleum jelly on the cracked part of the heel to lock in moisture.
  6. Wear cotton socks immediately.
  7. Do this every day and you will see the results.

You might want to scrub continually to achieve excellent results. Experts also advise against rubbing one’s feet when they are dry as it can exacerbate damage on the skin.
